KALASS

Like Bob Marley's One Love, One World concept, Kalass is an avenue through music to underscore the interconnectedness of the people of the world and the universal desire for happiness.

Eric John Kaiser

ERIC JOHN KAISER
Fisher Lawn musical stage: 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Eric John Kaiser traveled over 5,000 miles from his home in Paris, France to move to Portland, Oregon. After he recorded his debut solo album "L'ODyssée" in Paris last summer, Eric decided he wanted to take a fresh look at the world. He loves nothing more than to play live music and delivers an energetic live performance reminiscent of the uptempo excitement of The Police, Neil Young, and Bob Marley but in French ! And keeping in line with the Homeric title of his solo release, Eric and his trio take their audience on a musical odyssey that travels from rock to hip hop to reggae. It's a voyage this humble French Troubadour invites everyone to join. Eric John Kaiser will make you feel like he traveled those 5,000 miles to play just for you.

Matei Visniec

MATEI VISNIEC
Center House: 3:15 PM - 4:00 PM

Matei Visniec, born on January 29th 1956 in Romania, is a French playwright, poet and journalist.

In 1991, he was honored by the union of theater people for the best theater piece of the year and in 1992, he received the price of the Union of Romanian writers for drama. In 1992 he began to write in French, after three years in France. In 1993, he obtained French nationality. In October 1996, the National Theater of Timisoara organized a festival "Matéi Visniec" with ten of his plays presented by twelve companies.
Several of his plays are presented at the Festival d'Avignon.

With “Le deuxième Tilleul à gauche”, it’s the triumph of "theater in the theater”, removing the mechanisms of illusion. In two acts strictly parallel and complementary, a man and a woman make a fellow-spectator believe that they are responsible for the actions of their vis-à-vis. Puppeteers manipulated, they emphasize the reversals cause-effect / effect-cause, which can be applied to both the theater and life.
